During Helsinki Design Week 2024, we talked in Helsinki Music Centre about how to lead creative people – how to​ co-create, collaborate and co-lead.
 

In the panel we had a group of super experienced creative leaders from Finland, Estonia, Iceland and Spain. Participants of the discussion were:

  • Aleksi Malmberg – General Manager of Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra

  • Iiris Autio – Managing Director of Tero Saarinen Company

  • Margit Aasmäe – Co-Founder & CEO of Fotografiska Tallinn

  • Steinunn Ragnarsdóttir – Executive & Artistic Director of The Icelandic Opera

  • Helen Sildna – Founder & Head of Tallinn Music Week & Station Narva

  • Veronica Lassenius – Co-Founder and Creative Director of Pikkukala Animation Studio

  • Pablo Jordi – Co-Founder and Producer of Pikkukala Animation Studio

  • Hannes Praks – Chairman of Estonian Centre for Architecture & Co-Founder of research-based design studio Kuidas.works

The event was hosted by Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and organised by Avantage in cooperation with Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Helsinki Music CentrePerforma Borealis and The Business of Culture Program of Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development (Aalto EE). Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1882, is the longest continuously operating professional symphony orchestra in the Nordic countries. Helsinki Music Centre is a concert and event venue in the centre of Helsinki. Performa Borealis is an Estonian production company focusing on film and performing arts as well as events production. Aalto EE’s Business of Culture program is an executive program for leaders from the Arts and Culture sector in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Avantage is a Finnish coaching company specialised in helping worldwide creative professionals, leaders and teams to succeed.


The event was part of Helsinki Design Week, the largest design festival in the Nordic countries, organized 6.-15.9.2024.
